I'm a huge Beatles fan so I was interested to hear that a film biography of their manager Brian Epstein is in the planning stages.  The title role hasn't been cast yet but apparently Jude Law is a front runner.

Now, the first thing that sprang to my mind was...if only this project had turned up ten years ago!  Ralph would have been perfect for the part - he has the sensitivity, the class, and he could even have managed a fair physical resemblance.  Yes, I know he doesn't look his age, but poor Eppy died at the age of 32.  Not even dear Ralph has discovered the secret of eternal youth.

What do you all think?  Personally I'd class this role as one of the great "what ifs?" of Ralph's career!  Sad2

Í'm from the 'prebeatles ' generation and know very few of Brian Epstein. He was the manager of the Beatles, do I know it well? Why did he die at 32?

He died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.  It's often claimed that it was suicide, but there seems to be no hard evidence for this.  Very sad - he was gay at a time when homosexuality was illegal in England so he had to keep his private life well hidden.

Sorry, the Beatles were way before my time. But if a movie were ever made about Crowded House (the best Australasian band ever!!) then I would love to see my idol RF play my other idol Neil Finn Love Take a quick look at this video and see if you disagree: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqVgsL53MbM
