Hi Amigas! Waving Love2

We're feeling that bit of coolness in the air too, though afternoons are still pretty hot. I am so looking forward to autumn!! Happy

It has been very quiet around here. Sad2 As for Mr. Fiennes, I think he's supposed to start work on a film called Coronet this autumn and he's probably still doing post-production work on Coriolanus. Thumbs Up There hasn't been any real news lately other than the release of the new Harry Potter film this autumn. There was supposed to be another upcoming project... Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy based on a story by John LeCarre, but according to some reports online he may have dropped out of that project. Confused

I had some news last week. The company I work for is closing its office in Greenville and all employees will be laid off at the end of the year. I know this sounds awful, but I'm actually very much at peace. It's forcing me to seek something better, which is what I should have done a long time ago but was afraid to. For a little while I'll be able to stay at home and be a full-time artist before I need to worry about income and job-hunting. My family has been really supportive and I'm looking forward to taking a bit of time to recover from what has been ten very stressful years! Thud

I recently submitted my first piece to a juried art show. It was turned down, but so were about half the other entries, all more experienced at all this than me, so I'm not taking the rejection badly. As a matter of fact, an artist friend saw the piece and invited me to hang it and possibly a couple of other pieces in her studio during an arts festival in a couple of weeks. I'll post pictures soon.  Flower2

I hope everyone is well and blessed and can pay a visit soon! Miss you my friends!! Love2

Hello!
Beautiful family photos Liza.   Flower2   Is everyone doing okay around here?  Haven't heard from the wonderful ladies of the Forum in a while.  Stopping by to see what's been happening.  Where is Ralph?  Doing well I hope.

The changing of season is coming close.  It's autumn next for us in North America.  Drop by with a line of how you are doing, gals.  Miss reading about you're "goings on".  Bye for now.   Waving

I'm almost positive that it is in post production. I think they finished filming in June.
As for why he is keeping his head shaved. Lots of men shave their heads when their hairline has receded. My dads pretty bald and he shaves his head. He likes to think of it as choosing to be bald.
I think Ralph may just like his head shaved.

Just saw Cemetery Junction...cool film. Cool Well done Mr. Gervais and Mr. Merchant Thumbs Up

As for Mr. Fiennes... oh, he was just brilliant as usual Happy ...and I loved Emily Watson! Bravo

Chelly was right. Ralph wasn't interviewed in the bonus features. They did show some extra footage of him and the directors had great things to say about him. Of course. Love2

I own the DVD!- he's wonderful! What a great actor! From the commentaries it's clear that the directory wanted him to play Hades as an old ugly terrible bitter vengeful being full with hate and negative passions . And so he plays it. This explains also the terrible scary voice too.  It's worth to buy the 2 discs variation because great scenes were cut out (like in the 'Reader) and there - beside the these 'cut outs' - is a short but interesting scene where they speak from his frightening mask he personally explains his conception and we can see never played parts of the performance. He's astonishing and unrecognizable.
